Terms & Conditions
The Basics
We want everyone to have a fun and safe experience at The Sanctuary, so there are a few things we need to do to make sure that happens:

Grip socks are mandatory for hygiene purposes and health and safety.

Reformers and any props used need to be wiped down after your class.

Please advise the instructor if you have any injuries or conditions so exercises can be modified for you.

If you are feeling unwell, please stay home and take care of yourself, and give as much notice as possible so someone else can fill your place.

If it’s your first time doing Reformer Pilates or using our infrared sauna you will be given a full rundown of the machine and how to use it properly and stay safe.

You are required to drink water
Payment
Reformer Pilates:

Single Class – $28 per person, per class,
-
5 Class Package - $135.00
-
10 Class Package - $250.00
You pay for your class when you book. Or a class will be taken off your regular pass.

Infrared Sauna:

1 Session - $25.00 per person (can book extra person at additional $25.00)
Cancellations
We are a small studio and have limited spaces per class, we are keen to make sure as many people as possible can attend a class or sauna session each week:

If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, you will be charged for the class or sauna session or it will be taken off your class pass.

If you are a No Show (don’t attend your class or sauna session) you will be charged for the class or it will be taken off your class pass.
If you give at least 24 hours’ notice and have a class package, you can use this for your next class.
Health and Safety

For the health and safety of clients of The Sanctuary we ask that you advise the instructor if you have any medical conditions and provide a medical certificate where necessary.

If you are pregnant, please bring a signed medical consent from your Doctor before your first class.
Disclaimer

Please look after your belongings at the studio, the studio is not responsible if anything goes missing.

Please follow the instructions, and potential modifications offered during the class. The Sanctuary is not responsible for any injury.

From time to time we may need to cancel a class due to illness, instructor availability, public holidays, or unforeseen circumstances. The Sanctuary reserves the right to cancel classes and we will give you as much notice as we are able to.
Infrared Sauna

Health Considerations:

Consultation with Healthcare Professional: If you are pregnant, have a medical condition (e.g., heart disease, diabetes, skin conditions, or high blood pressure), or are taking medication, consult a healthcare provider before using the infrared sauna.

Individuals with conditions such as fever, dehydration, or skin burns should not use the sauna until fully recovered.

Age Restrictions: Users must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent to use the infrared sauna. Children under the age of 16 should not use the sauna unless explicitly advised by a healthcare provider.

Pre-Session Guidelines:

Hydration: It is essential to drink plenty of water before, during, and after your sauna session to avoid dehydration.

Avoid Alcohol and Drugs: Do not use the sauna under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medications that may impair judgment or heat tolerance.

Cleanliness: Use the sauna only after showering to remove dirt, oils, and sweat. Towels should be placed on the bench to avoid contact with sweat or skin irritation.
During the Session:​

Time Limit: Limit your session to no longer than 20-30 minutes, depending on your tolerance level. New users should start with shorter sessions and gradually increase time as their body adapts.

Listen to Your Body: If you feel lightheaded, dizzy, or unwell at any time, stop your session immediately and exit the sauna.

Rest Periods: If you plan to stay for a longer session, take breaks to cool down every 10-15 minutes.
Post-Session Guidelines:

Cooling Down: After exiting the sauna, cool your body down slowly. Drink water to rehydrate and avoid activities that may strain your body, such as vigorous exercise.

Avoid Heavy Meals: Refrain from eating heavy meals immediately after using the sauna to prevent digestive discomfort.
Usage Limitations:

Not for Use During Pregnancy: Pregnant individuals should not use the infrared sauna unless approved by their doctor.

Not for Individuals with Certain Health Conditions: People with certain conditions, such as severe heart conditions, poor circulation, or skin infections, should refrain from sauna use unless recommended by their healthcare provider.
Liability Waiver:

Assumption of Risk: By using the infrared sauna, you acknowledge that you are aware of the risks involved and agree to use the sauna at your own risk. The Sanctuary is not liable for any injuries or health issues that arise from improper or excessive use of the sauna.
Emergency Procedures:

First Aid: In case of dizziness, fainting, or other health emergencies, seek medical assistance immediately. First aid kits are available in the facility for use in emergencies.

Equipment Use Restrictions:

Proper Use of Equipment: Only authorized personnel should make repairs or adjustments to the sauna. Users must adhere to all instructions provided for operating the infrared sauna.

General Conduct:

Respect Other Users: Use the sauna respectfully, and maintain a peaceful environment for all users. Noise and disruptive behavior should be minimized.

Personal Belongings: The Sanctuary is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.
